Alvalanker is the recording project of guitarist, composer, and producer Daniel R. Simoes. Based in New Jersey, he writes, performs, produces, mixes, and masters original experimental, industrial, and guitar-driven rock.

Active since 2018 — first release The Cordicidans (CRM-001) — he has issued a new record almost every year. Before the solo catalog, he toured North America as lead guitarist with Slick Idiot and KMFDM founder En Esch, coming up through the underground NYC and NJ scenes.

The work is built in the room: a modified Schecter C-1, Ableton Live, guitar and electronics. Influences run from Pink Floyd and Van Halen to Megadeth, Zappa, and the records that first made the instrument feel like a life.
